Step 2: Submit the Wipe Data

After you're done erasing computers, you can submit the wipe data to keep a detailed history of computers you have erased. While this isn't required, it does create an audit trail that larger companies will find useful.

To submit the wipe data:

  1. Put your USB drive in one of the computer's USB ports
  2. Select the Computers tab in EraseData > Step 3: Submit the Wipe Logs
  3. Click Continue
  4. Select your USB drive on the list of drives
  5. Click Retrieve to pull the logs from the drive
  6. Click Submit

You can see a history of your drive Wipes from EraseData's Home screen > View Wipes.
